*This may offend some people, even though this is not my intent. I'm not attempting to troll or anything of that nature. My intent is to point out one of the many superficial/shallow natures of many relationships in this planet*
These "Racial" preferences don't seem to make any sense to me.
Usually you have preferences for inanimate objects. This is justifiable because you know that inanimate products like, certain car models or ice cream flavors will always possess certain traits or characteristics that you enjoy, no matter what.
The same thing can't be said for humans, because regardless of what ethnicity someone is, personalities and appearances will always vary. If you have a preference for a certain group of humans simply because you assume they all have certain personality traits and physical traits, you are being prejudice, and not just prejudice but stereotyping. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not against "interracial" marriages or unions, but it doesn't make any sense to me when some of the people who are open to "interracial" unions say things like "don't judge somebody by their skin color", or "I don't judge people by their looks or ethnicity", but at the same time, they say they have "racial preferences". It's a major contradiction to me and it makes me wonder what some of these people's real intentions are when dating or marrying certain people.
