Music is just like the foods that we eat... Some music is synonymous to 'junk food' (no nutrients) and NOT GOOD for the mind... In contrast, some music is synonymous to healthy food (full of high nutrients) and is VERY GOOD for the mind... There are just way too many of us still consuming 'junk mind' music! Choose and consume wisely.

Yes! one should choose and be wise in what music we listen. I love music so much that I always be listening to the songs carefully.

Now that you mention it, I have found myself knowing the words to songs that I initially would only listen to just for the acoustics. Especially the chorus, that's where they get us! lol. Thank you for making us all think.

I find that what really draws me into to liking a song or any type of music, is its rhythm, beat, and acoustics...usually regardless of the lyrics. Imo, this is where the mind control and subconsciousness comes into to play. Those hypnotic and mind altering (for better or worse) sounds and tones. I do find some music intuitively hard to listen to due to its lyrics and perceived intent. (I.e. music with materialistic, combative, egotistical, lustful themes)

Most people that I have spoken to regarding the affects that music has on us (particularly the lyrics), say that they are really listening to the beat and not paying attention to the words but I immediately say to them, well, if the average person listen to or buy music based on the beat or instrumentation, why do vocal music dominate far more in sales? Why don't instrumentalists have anywhere near the same draw and 'super star' power as the vocal recording artists? No one has yet to give a fair minded and sensible answer and they can't because words; the voice is the most compelling, SPELL-bounding and hypnotizing vice & instrument on the planet... The 'beat' (so to speak) is secondary to what is being planted into the deeper conscious mind of the listener. I know that I've said this to you multiple times but you are so observant and wise beyond your years Omni - you so remind me of myself when I was in my teens!
