I've been looking into some really facinating things over the past year and I figured I would share some of it with all of you.

Duolingo is a really neat site where you can learn various languages all for free. The website contains various exercises to help oneself learn other languages. While it's not enough to attain fluency as it's mostly just simple exercises it's still a really cool place to start. Currently I'm practicing a few different languages. I completed to Portuguese course a while ago and I'm currently working on Spainish and French.

Conversation Exchange is another really neat website. I've used this to meet some really great people from around the world who have helped me learn their languages and I would help them with English. It's a great way to meet people from around the world and learn so much.

Couchsurfing is a site where you can find people to meet and even stay with during your travels. I couchsurfed for the first time with a really cool guy from Puerto Rico who is living in Orlando, Florida right now. I got to meet some fellow couch surfers who were from Puerto Rico as well. I got to learn about Puerto Rican culture from them and it was really fun.

WWOOF is a site where you can volunteer for organic farms. I have personally not done so yet but it's something I'm looking towards doing in the future. Through WWOOF one can work at an organic farm and in exchange for food and housing. It's a great way to meet other like minds and enjoy sustainible living through non monetary exchange.
